Getting the chance to make The Ring Master will be a BIG undertaking. I'm thinking 10-20min animated episodes ("pages") that tell many story arcs ("chapters") across 9 seasons ("books"). Here's my current plan for chapter 1. It's 20 episodes - for 1 arc of 1 season!

I understand that “Carmen” is typically a female name in Spanish cultures. I intentionally named him Carmen to explore the nuances behind gender roles, gender identity, and choosing who you are, rather than conforming to what you were given. This is a major theme in #theringmaster
A few weeks ago I posted a tiktok about Carmen and Penny's musical motifs in The Ring Master, but I misspoke. Carmen isn't strings, and penny isn't percussion. Carmen is BLUES, Penny is SWING, and TOGETHER they make ELECTRO SWING. THAT'S their signature music style!

I have a new approach to how instruments can represent characters in a show that expands it to include sections, genres, timbres, and more, then combining them in fun ways! For example, let's say Carmen=blues and Penny=swing rhythm. When combined they make electro swing! Whadya think? #theringmaster

Carmen's dad, who abandoned him when he was little, recently died in a hurricane. Carmen spends most of the prologue dealing and coping with it. His anger often gets the better of him, and despite how hard he tries, he ends up hurting people he cares most about. Can you relate? I can. #theringmaster
As of now, The Ring Master will be 9 Books (seasons) long. It's really important to me that I pace the show properly, so the amount of Pages and Chapters in each Book will be different every time. While I don't love doing that, it's more important to me that the story be told well. #theringmaster
