Section 2 Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. In others words, slavery is not allowed “except as a punishment for crime”. All that is necessary to enslave the entire population is to create whatever crime is necessary for that purpose. The U.S. government has done an admirable job of doing that very thing. Why, just look at all the crimes that have been defined and all the people that have been enslaved so far. Can’t wait to see what new crimes the theocrats will invent.
