I just want to point to an important difference between the United States and the Russians here. Both are ruthless, great powers that will do anything to make sure their people secure. Both are using the military to protect what they perceive as their sphere of influence. Of the beginning. Extract resources power from these regions. The differences that the Russians have a higher power to deal with. That higher power being the US NATO, but is funding Ukraine and making the Russians pay a heavy cost for their invasion of Ukraine. Rightly so, they are the aggressors. In the case of the United States, there isn't yet a higher or even an equal power to them. Pay a high cost And this is a problem. Let's see how things pan out with Venezuela and Nigeria. I see that the Russians and the Chinese are already active and figuring out how they can get weapons like air defense systems into both places.
