Three Western Daisy flowers with cheery egg-yolk centers and white petals tipped in lavender-pink.
A swath of Western Daisies. They grow small rosettes of spoon shaped leaves and the flower stems are less than six inches tall. There's a few weeds mixed in, but not many made it through.
A tiny bee on the center of a daisy.
A Red Hairstreak butterfly perches on a daisy. Northern Cross Timbers ecoregion 29a.
These Western daisies are also winter annuals and they're taking over from the weeds where I planted them last year, plus feeding the pollinators when I don't have many flowers yet. Astranthium ciliatum. #nativeplants #gardening π± #tinyflowertuesday #flowerreport

Tiny blue flowers with white centers are blooming above a mat of fleshy leaves, climbing over rocks in a drainage ditch.
For #TinyFlowerTuesday π±
The Veronica persica Speedwell (I always wanted to use this as an AKA race car driver name) has survived the ice and snow and is happily creeping amidst the rocks in the drainage ditch.
It may be predominantly used as hedging, but Laurel flowers are really amazing still. #TinyFlowerTuesday
