#TomBombadil no aparece en la trilogía de Peter Jackson porque seguramente estos sucesos, que en el fondo no aportan nada a la trama central, postergaban en exceso el arranque de la noticia. Por eso defiendo su omisión, aunque ahora podrían aparecer en una nueva película.
A lo largo de los años he leído muchas y variadas teorías sobre quién es #TomBombadil. Hay quienes afirman que es la personificación de Arda, otros que es el propio Eru Ilúvatar e incluso que podría ser Aulë, el dios que creó a los enanos. Personalmente ninguna de estas teorías termina de cuadrarme.
#TomBombadil es un personaje que a priori no parece llamar la atención, hasta que descubrimos que es tan viejo como el propio mundo y que los poderes del Anillo Único no parecen afectarle, como si él fuera mucho más poderoso que el propio #Sauron. ¿Quién es este personaje?
#TomBombadil es un personaje fascinante. Lo primero que vemos de él es su «viejo y estropeado sombrero de copa alta», luego que se trata de «algo semejante a un hombre; demasiado grande y pesado para ser un hobbit, y no bastante alto como para pertenecer a la Gente Grande». ¿Quién es #TomBombadil?
Y es que los sucesos del #BosqueViejo son muy queridos. Por un lado tenemos las Quebradas de los Túmulos, habitados por los tumularios (según el propio Gandalf, «quizá el momento más peligroso de todos»); por otro lado están #TomBombadil y #BayaDeOro.
