Here’s my #tourdefleece25 collection of spins! I challenged myself w some #Turkishspindle plied yarn & improving intentional thick & thin singles in order to ply fishnets, coils/beehives, & rosebuds. I’m designing some lovely necklaces w them for Lambtown in Oct!

A skein of handspun yarn resting on grey fabric. The yarn is tightly plied and showcases a vibrant gradient of pinks with subtle flecks of other colours.
A cake of handspun yarn wound into a neat spiral, sitting on a white surface. The yarn displays a gradient blend of dusty pink, plum, and hints of coral with visible tweedy flecks throughout, giving it a heathered, dimensional appearance.
A partially knitted tabi sock in pink handspun yarn, alongside the same yarn wound into a cake, shown on a black surface near a keyboard. The fabric is smooth and even, with colourful nepps providing visual texture.
Two pink knitted tabi socks, one in progress, worked in the round on circular needles. One is finished, both are knitted in pink handspun yarn with multicoloured tweedy specks, laid on a black desk next to a ruler and a keyboard.
The final day of #tourDeFleece25 is here, and I've managed to #spinEveryDay and get through a lot of the older batts I wanted spun up.
I also spun up a very old gradient from my pink phase, and knit a 3ply sock yarn that's being turned into another pair of #tabiSocks.

This blending board didn't come with a proper brush, so I've ordered one.
Beans is a great help today by being a great display floof.

Tour de Fleece check in! I decided to split the second braid to get a fractal effect in the plying. Now that I am seeing both braids spun up, I am very excited for the final result.

Day 8 of #tourdefleece25 is more fibre prep. My yarn pile is growing! #handspun #fiberprep
A Victoria Louet spinning wheel bobbin is slowly building up a funky, textured, corespun teal yarn.
#tourdefleece25 day 5, & I’m #spinning some of the funky, dyed CVM I picked up at Morro Fleeceworks yesterday on our road trip. I love the colors & textures. It’s been a rough day so a bit of tipsy #corespinning is helping. Might put on the Catskills episodes of Maisel soon. Annual summer watch.
5.5 oz of hand processed jacob fleece spun up, it's going to have some texture for sure but i think that'll make the sweater i plan on making from it that much more cozy. i still have about 75g to card but ill save that for a TdF rest day
.

Basket of grey combed fibre nests , 2 full bobbins of grey handspun singles and a skein of grey handspun yarn. #tourdefleece #handspunyarn
Is it Day 4 of Tourdefleece? I spent most of yesterday combing and blending 200g of Corriedale locks, ready for my next bobbin but today I’m just meh; need a break. So far I’ve spun 400g of singles. #tourdefleece25 #handspun #fibreprep
A series of 6 images from top left and clockwise shows a black tub with a yellow lid and multiple bags of wool fleeces in the back of a mini van; the front of a 1 story building with a sign that reads Morro Fleeceworks; Morro Rock in the distance with the ocean in the middle & a grassy hill in the foreground; a green wooden storefront with a sign that reads The Garden Shed has beautiful trees around it; a wooden, painted white sheep with a black face has a hand painted sign below it that reads The Sheep Shed; and a table has two Turkish spindles on it. One with blue yarn and the other brown yarn.
#tourdefleece25 day 4 My fiber friend Andrea & I took a short road trip to Morro Bay to the Fleeceworks to visit Shari & drop off some of our fleeces for washing. We drove up to Cambria for lunch at Robin’s & some fav shops b4 heading home. We both #turkishspindle #spun & she e-spun in the car.

The same yarn in a twisted hank.
Rolags in greens and golds from Friends in Fiber. It is 4 ounces of Polwarth in the colorway "Golden Pavilion"
I spun up some lovely Polwarth hand dyed from Friends in Fiber. All I have ever used is my one spindle and chopsticks for bobbins. I ply with the same spindle. 🧶
#TourdeFleece25
I'm "participating" in #TourdeFleece25 this year (for some value of participation) by trying to get the hang of hand spinning.
I've *definitely* improved, but I still suck and haven't produced ANY usable yarn so far.
Oh well. Progress is progress, I suppose.
Nice! Don’t forget to hashtag your post #tourdefleece25 so we can support you!
