A trail of raccoon tracks across rippled sand. The tracks are in patterns of four: a front foot, another front with the opposite hind landing on top of it, and then a hind foot. This is characteristic of a lope or galloping pattern.

SOMEWHERE in the pile of planter pots and unkempt grass in my backyard, there is a junco nest. I couldn't find it, but outraged chirping from both babbies and parents indicate it's there somewhere.
