I've been experimenting with #tsukemono - Japanese traditional pickles (image #1) made in nukazuke (fermented rice bran). Today the kid asked for #sunomono - Japanese cucumber salad (image 2). I've also been fiddling with a different type of pickling for some daikon radish as well (#3)

千枚漬・味わい漬たまねぎ・旬かさね

京都の家用みやげ。
西利とか東京でも買えてしまうところは避けて、「もり」で美味しそうと思ったバラ売りの漬物を買ってきました。
本当は”青しそ大根”も買ったんですけど、先に食べてしまいました…。

青しそ大根

京都みやげにいくつか漬物を買って帰りました。
“もり”は1962年創業の漬物屋さん。亀岡に自社農園と工場をを持っているそうです。

青しそ大根は、店頭で試食して美味しかったので購入。
ごはんと一緒でちょうど良い濃さでしょうか。
