A tall waterfall drops steeply down a rocky cliff face through a densely forested mountainside in the Chugach Mountains near Valdez, Alaska. Lush green forest covers the slopes on both sides of the waterfall. Above the treeline, rugged rocky ridges with patches of snow rise against a blue sky with high cirrus clouds. Two juvenile bald eagles face off in an aggressive confrontation on a rocky shoreline, photographed in black and white. The eagles display the mottled brown and white plumage typical of immature bald eagles before they develop their adult white head and tail.
