Hotel Mario is a reflection of life itself From when we're born and put on this earth and begin to find ourselves, what makes us special as an individual, for life places many doors as we walk through its unpredictable road. Whether or not we open or close those doors is entirely up to us, but the objective remains the same on finding who we are as people at the end of the day. Hotel Mario can be viewed as a metaphor for life, for it too has many doors to open and close. Some doors lead to good paths, others lead to bad. But we won't know until we walk through them. And much like life itself, Hotel Mario is unpredictable in what it sets out to do, and yet, it perfectly encapsulates what it means to live.
So yeah I played through Hotel Mario at the start of the year. It was SOMETHIN. I didn't hate it as much as I expected it to. Its a good idea mogged by bad execution. It has the charm of a flash game. Cutscenes are funny, music is solid. Can't wait for that fan remaster.
