Im Oktober ging es mal wieder nach #Waldenburg, wo sich mein altes und mein derzeitiges Projekt im April ‘45 gekreuzt hatten ( #Todesmarsch + #HASAG). Nun wurde dort die Ausstellung zur Befreiung der KZ-Häftlinge eröffnet. Gefundene Quellen + Fotos in groß und für alle!

In der prunkvollen Bibliothek des Schlosses #Waldenburg sprachen wir gestern über das Erinnern an den #Nationalsozialismus & insbesondere die #Todesmärsche 1945.
Live eingebaut habe ich einen vor Ort fast vergessenen Gedenkstein, den ich erst am Nachmittag auf dem Friedhof gesucht & gefunden hatte.
A Gothic revival style brick church, illuminated at night. Pointed windows adorn its forward face. A sharp and high steeple holds a cross over 100 feet in the air.

Gestern habe ich in #Waldenburg ein kleines Kunstwerk erstanden. Es steht symbolisch für eines von 1.100 Schicksalen der im April 1945 befreiten KZ-Häftlinge.
Für die Realisierung der Graphic Novel durch den Künstler Marian Kretschmer sucht das Projekteam weitere Pat*innen á 25€ (s. letztes Bild).

Vor 3 Jahren fand ich im @ushmm.bsky.social bis dato unbekannte Fotos der Befreiung von Häftlingen des KZ-Außenlagers #HASAG Altenburg nach dem #Todesmarsch in #Waldenburg.
Nach intensiver Arbeit vieler Engagierter vor Ort wurde dort gestern eine Ausstellung zum Thema eröffnet. Ich freue mich sehr!
Zum vormerken: Am 20. November sprechen Roland Löffler von der Sächsischen Landeszentrale für Politische Bildung und ich in #Waldenburg über die #Todesmärsche 1945 & die Auseinandersetzung mit ihnen bis heute. Die Veranstaltung ist Teil des Begleitprogramms zur Sonderausstellung "Hunger auf Leben".
