Some 10 days back I walked back from Sayalonga to Cómpeta: not ideal because of the heat: shade to shade (there wasn't much) and lots of water. Nice views of the Torrox valley and Cómpeta. And the Cicadas are back and have started up their summer static song!

Lost in translation. The warnings are sound but the mistranslation males them sound a little hysterical.

My colleague, tougher than me, bathed after a long walk in the shallow pools of the Río Turvilla at the Fábrica de la Luz. She's as fit as a fiddle and as tough as old boots and even she only lasted 20 seconds submerged. But yes, she bathed. Brrrr

View up the Arroyó de Cueva del Melero towards... inconceivable! The cliffs of insanity!
Haven't been in a while. A linea route, 2hrs from the Canillas de Albaida Fabrica along the river, past the cave and walnut farm & down to the river again then back. Beautiful.

Good morning! Buenos días! View up the valley towards Árchez and above it Canillas de Albaida on a day that would be splendid to be walking!

From Canillas de Albaida to the Río Turvilla/ Río Cájula Mill and then along the Cájula. A favourite local walk
