On December 28, a waterspout (tromba marina) moved from the sea onto land in the area of Puerto de Mazarrón, Murcia, Spain, causing localized damage.

#Poland is experiencing a local #Waterspout outbreak at the seaside of the Baltic sea at this moment. Some locations observed up to 10 funnels in one panorama.

Waterspout outbreak possible early next week (Aug 25/26). Lake-effect showers and storms possible over water; Lakes Erie/Ontario most likely to see this.

A nice round of cooler air next week could also deliver some high waterspout potential to the Great Lakes, with enough of an air temp difference over lake vs land. Lakes Erie & Ontario would be the most likely candidates for spin-ups, with 75-80° surface temps.
