This is surprising, considering my own #weightedPullUps max ranges between an estimated +90-120 (about 280-300 total from+25x14 and +55x6, respectively), and I weigh the same as him but 4in taller (and certainly fluffier), which should give him plenty of relative strength advantage.
So it's a fairly normal thing that when I step up my #weightedPullUps by 5lb and also drop a set of those (temporarily), that my unweighted backoff pullups experience a performance boost, but it's not so normal to be doing 3x15+ and still managing achieve 18 reps on the last set...
