A captivating grayscale image from the Mars Global Surveyor reveals layered hills in Arabia Terra on Mars. Dark windblown sand surrounds lighter-colored sedimentary rock formations, exhibiting distinct layers suggestive of a long geological history. The image covers an area of approximately 3 kilometers and shows mesas eroded into layered hills with enough space between to drive a truck. The intriguing formations are a subject of ongoing scientific investigation.

Aus landwirtschaftlicher Sicht haben viele eigentlich nur die #Wassererosion am Schirm, ähnlich drastische Auswirkungen hat aber auch die #Winderosion. „Es staubt halt“, „i hob beim Anbauen gar nix gsehen“ - sowas hört man jedes Jahr von Kollegen. Auch dabei geht Boden verloren.
