The sun sets in winter yellow behind the ruined walls of Huntly Castle in Aberdeenshire. The foreground is brushed with snow and the bare winter trees are silhouetted against the distant hills. The castle cat died suddenly last week and I miss him. I feed the biscuits in my pocket to the crows and together we think about him.
