Portrait of a yellow faced bumblebee, Bombus vosnesenskii. The fuzz between its eyes and on crown is buttery yellow. On its abdomen are alternating black and gold stripes. The bee’s legs, tongue and eyes are black. The bee’s tongue is extended toward a lemony yellow Tansy ragweed blossom. Its antennae and left foreleg perfectly parallel with the bee’s tongue. The bee’s legs are starred with tiny yellow grains of pollen. The bee’s bright black eyes seem to look directly at the viewer.
