A self portrait, stringing an aqua blue tennis racquet with bright, intense pink strings. My arms are blurred, in motion. I don’t know if my dad realized as he passed his racquet stringing skills to me, before he was taken, at far too young an age, but he left me with a gift for a lifetime. A place where I could excel, make a living, and escape too, into my own thoughts and dreams. A sanctuary.
