Our paper on the female song in Galápagos yellow warblers is now published in Animal Behavior: authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S... To celebrate, here is the first ever video I recorded back in 2023 of the female BzHz singing!

Totally worth waking up at 3:00 AM 🌊🪶
Watching thousands of waders twist and turn in perfect harmony as the tide rolls in, they really know how to put on a show.

Listen up anyone working in the Irish Sea this summer! We tagged a bunch of kitts in Liverpool Bay and want to gather as many resightings as we can. If you spot these yellow colour rings please give me a shout (dla205@exeter.ac.uk) 🐦💍💛

The White-bellied Storm-petrel trip also gave up one of two deployed GLS loggers. 1st ever track. Aust. to Chile (10K km) and down towards the Antarctica coast. Unprecedented?! So hard to access remote colonies with over 80 island-days available (2009-2025) but only 8 landings possible.#Seabirds 🪶

Another fantastic ‘Poyser’ monograph, by @robthomasbirds.bsky.social.

My favourite fact so far? Storm-petrel chicks are each weighed in their own individual cupcake holder to minimise the risk of disease transmission. Excellent!
