A stylized illustration of trees, grass, and sky, with birds, squirrels, ducks, fox, and a hedgehog. Found injured or orphaned wildlife? It's better NOT to feed! Feeding wild animals can harm or even kill, when they are fed: the wrong food, while starving, while dehydrated or cold, with certain injuries/illnesses, in the wrong way or with untrained techniques. Give the animal what it needs most until a rehabilitator can help! Quiet, warm, and dark. Did you know? Baby mammals need different kinds of milk! Don't feed cow, human, nut, or pet milks to wildlife without training. WARNING: harm from improper feeding can be permanent. Logo for the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council in a cloud.
Please don't feed injured, orphaned, and ill #wildlife you find! It takes extensive knowledge and training to know what to feed, how to feed, and when it is safe to feed injured or orphaned wild animals. It is easy to cause harm, potentially even irreversible harm, even when you mean well!
