The eats history bizantine ricotta cheesecake. Another #disability friendly recipe. Also happens to be #mcas approved because it's low histamine. It's also so good I didn't get a picture b4 it got eaten.

Basically all the people I've met with heds are also trans lol

That's so interesting. I feel like most states make it harder to vote than that.

Determining Residency Determining Residency

www.pa.gov/agencies/rev...

At least for tax reasons PA defines residency as living there months. (I think I said 1 year b4)

1 month ago 0 0 1 0

As per that website you have to "Be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote for at least 30 days"
But to become a resident most states require at least 6 months of living in the state and changing your drivers license

Youth Anti-Trans Legal Risk Assessment Map of the United States. Florida, Kansas, and Texas are marked "Do Not Travel" with dark crosshatched shading. The majority of states are dark red for "Worst Active Anti-trans Laws." Montana, Nebraska, Alaska, and several others are orange for "High Risk Within 2 Years." States including California, Colorado, New York, and other previously protective states are now light peach for "Moderate Risk Within 2 Years," reflecting the update that no state is considered low risk for transgender youth. No states appear in low-risk or protective categories.

1. My newest Anti-Trans Legal Risk Map is here.

For trans adults, Kansas is the newest "Do Not Travel" warning, only the 3rd state to achieve that warning.

For youth, a change to the map increases risk to Medium in many states.

Nationwide risk remains extreme.

Unfortunately most states require you to live there for a year b4 you are considered a resident of that state and can vote there

That's true, there is always a risk that a child is born with unforseen extra needs.

I mean, around 15% of the younger population has learning disabilities and that doesn't account for people who might need tech for a physical disability. I personally prefer when the accommodation is a tablet bc computers are distracting.

Also didn't seethe og post so idk what your referring to

Have kids because of the unintended impact on the child. Our society (US) is not set up to help disabled kids and their parents. It falls to the parents to provide and pay for all care/ quality of life.

To be clear, I don't think any should be forcibly sterilized or banned from having kids. Ultimately it is their decision. However, more information and dialog about the topic is good.

Personally, I don't think people with certain genetic disorders that are likely to be active in the child should...

Or at least people should be prepared to potentially provide/pay for lifelong care for said child.

2 months ago 0 0 0 0

It should be more talked about than it is, but everytime it's brought up people shut it down with eugenics. It really upsets some people when you say people with severe genetic disorders shouldn't have kids

Everyone needs to stop having their taxes automatically deducted. Create a separate savings account and put the money I there instead. It's insaine that we are still giving this administration money

Does anyone else with #hEDS get really bad foot pain? Like sometime I feel like I can't even put my feet on the floor when I'm sitting down bc they hurt too much. Its one of the main reason I can't walk very much.

I feel like there are better ways to block AI. Probably there is a way to ban it at certain IP address or with school emails. In class work or quizzes are also an option.

3 months ago 0 0 0 0

I disagree. A lot of degrees don't require Internet but soo many of them do. Like computer science or engineering. With a lot of the degrees with no Internet everything you could teach would be outdated in a job setting.

I want to try a low histamine diet for #mcas but I have no idea where to start. I already don't eat a lot of foods like nuts, cured meat, fermented food, or alcohol. But soy sauce, citrus and yogurt are staples for me

It sucks being a chronically ill college student because I'll never be able to participate in club activities or go to parties because keeping up with the work takes all my energy.

I'm doing slightly better. It may be partly a reaction to black mold. I also found out I'm allergic to potato skin or whatever is sprayed on potato skin 🫠

True, but in the original post just saying "woman in a dark room" leaves out a lot of important detail that could be added. I feel like alt text comes super easy to some people and not to others

4 months ago 0 0 0 0

I didn't really mean don't bother, just wanted to point out it's actually not as simple as some people try to make it out. If you do too little it might not tell the reader anything but too long and it's also not useful

4 months ago 0 0 0 0

Also if you don't do a good description it's not that helpful. All the people saying it's easy fail to take into account that an easy description is often a bad one.
