This image shows a Eurasian Curlew standing in a lush green field. The bird is characterized by its exceptionally long, down-curved bill, which it uses to forage for invertebrates in mud or soft soil. Its plumage is a complex pattern of mottled brown, tan, and cream streaks.
This image shows a Eurasian Curlew (a large wading bird) standing in a lush, green marshy field. The bird is captured from a side profile, prominently displaying its most distinctive feature: a very long, slender beak that curves downward toward the grass.

Thanks Heather😊
Yes mate, see them quite a lot at Nash point. They have also been spotted in friars point Barry lately. Nash is always a good spot for them👍

Little owl?
Pulled over the car on the way back from monk Nash today when I spotted what I think is a little owl poking it's head over a roof top. Just managed to get the camera from the boot and take a quick snap before it made off.

Same here Martine. I'm not expert on flowers but it seems very much still a bit wintery here ATM.
Thanks Robyn👍

An orange-tip butterfly with vibrant white and mottled green underwings rests on the delicate purple bells of a wild bluebell. The butterfly’s distinctive bright orange wingtips provide a sharp contrast against the deep blues of the flower and the soft, out-of-focus green grass in the background.
I have not seen many butterflies at all this year. So here is a stunning orange tip taken at forest farm NR last year.

A close-up photograph captures a small, olive-brown willow warbler perched on a blossoming branch. The bird has a distinct pale eyebrow stripe and is looking toward the right, its feathers softly blending with the natural surroundings. It sits amidst delicate white flowers and budding green leaves.
Lovely to hear so many singing black caps after the hail on Saturday at aberthaw. Trying to get a pic of one was a bit challenging but I did see my first willow warbler of the year and managed a quick snap in some decent light.

Do you care enough about your garden birds to change?
Many birders, myself included, began changing our garden bird feeding habits some years ago to reduce the risk of killing the birds we attract to our gardens. But I wonder how many people will be #bovvered?
