Welp, that’s what roughly 360 track end connectors looks like prepped for painting, for a Tamiya M4A3 Sherman project.

This is where I'm at with the Tamiya T34/76. Things hit an abrupt halt when she threw a track when an idler made a bid to escape. The stowage pinged off in all directions in sympathy. All is well now and hostilities will resume on the morrow. #histscalemodels
T-26-6 SPG
Tactical-technical requirements for a close support SPG on the T-26 chassis were completed #OTD in 1941. Obsolete twin-turreted T-26 tanks were converted into vehicles that still had value on the battlefield. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII
Creeping towards the finish line on this one. One track done, hard to get decent looking sag with plastic tracks but it'll do when they're painted and weathered and the idler wheels are on.
Close to bringing all these parts together and put a flat clear varnish over them all earlier…there are no dashboard dial decals supplied 🙄…so I wondered about using some Archers ones I have but I think I’ll just ‘rust out’ the dials as it’s a very old vehicle in the vignette I have plotted 🤔
The lower part of the Tamiya Valentine, with axles and wheels ready for paint.
Due to link and length tracks I now have to paint the lower part of the Tamiya Valentine before I can progress.
So far a zero swear word build. Magic. 👍

Time for a #ScaleHistModels update … on my 1/72 Dambusters Lanc … sooo annoyed that I’ve screwed the painting of the canopy up so I will need to redo + various recoverable paint issues but I’m on my way … now worried I won’t be able to get the masks off the fuselage windows as well. Ho hum!
A clean looking 1/72 Supermarine S5 sits on a cheap set of oil paints.
Time to break out the £3 Lidl oil paints

Really trying to finish this up today, got some evergreen polystyrene for crossbars up next
Latest update on the Tilly. Still lots to do, but things are starting to look presentable. #histscalemodels
The M19 Tank Transporter is done (mostly). Weather will be minimal, as this is on a war bond tour and the brass want this looking sharp. Next up, the Panzer IV. #histscalemodels
T-19 tank without armament installed.
Orders to develop a successor to the T-18 tank were given #OTD in 1928. The T-19 was supposed to be a faster version of its predecessor, but constantly expanding requirements turned it into a completely different tank that just shared some components with the T-18. #tanks #history
Al poses with Paul Shaffer and Al Jardine
There are still tickets available for the big L.A. wildfire relief benefit show at the United Theater on Broadway tomorrow night. Here I am at soundcheck with Paul Shaffer and Al Jardine - the lineup for this thing is absolutely INSANE. Hope to see you there!
IS-1 (#233) tank
Factory trials of the IS-1 (#233) tank ended #OTD in 1943. Some small issues cropped up, which were corrected before the tank was sent to government trials. Nevertheless, it was rejected since requirements for a new heavy tank changed in the meantime. #tanks #History #WW2 #WWII
Demolished Tiger tank in North Africa.
The appearance of the Tiger Tank in North Africa failed to tip the scales in the Germans' favour. #OTD in 1943 s.Pz.Abt.501 handed over their remaining materiel to the newly arrived s.Pz.Abt.504, having no functional Tigers remaining. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII
Calling it done, my attempt at the Kawasaki Ki-61-Id HIEN for ##TonyTonyTony #histscalemodels #scalemodels Nice kit, Great detail easy build the decals were a bit thick though. Tamiya 1:72 scale.
Black and white picture of an A9 cruiser tank captured by the Italians near the Egyptian border during the summer of 1940. The turret has Italian recognition marks painted on it. Seven Italian soldiers are standing next to the tank with some inspecting it.
Since we are doing Italian 1940s kit…

Heavy Tank M6A2E1 with a 105 mm gun
The Heavy Tank M6 turned out to be unsuitable for combat, but that didn't stop the Americans from modernizing it. In addition to a new turret with a 105 mm gun, a transplant of a Pershing turret was attempted. This work was cancelled #OTD in 1944. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

Games Workshop sent me the new Champions of Slaanesh Emperor's Children box. I started with the chaos lord, although his head and icon are from the troop sprue as I thought it made him look more like a veteran from the Heresy.
