Here is our latest paper led by Dr. Helene Tigro. Here, we show that phosphorylated Ξ±βactininβ2 is more susceptible to spend time in a state that is more compatible with F-actin binding. Big thanks to Dr. Matthew Childers and Mike Regnier for their support! www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
Beyond excited to serve as elected co-chair for the 2028 Motility & Cytoskeleton Symposium at the 72nd @biophysicalsoc.bsky.social Meeting in San Diego. And we now have a brand-new Muscle Biology subgroup chaired by Dr. Samantha Harris and Dr. Hamilton!

Our undergraduate student, Dev, was selected to present at the 2025 Presidentβs Showcase of Research Excellence. This is on top of being awarded the 2025 IDEA grant that helped Dev develop his research project this last summer. Congrats, Dev, well deserved!
I had the great joy of visiting @illinoisstateu.bsky.social to present some of our research progress as part of the School of Biological Sciences Seminar Series. A big tank you to the department for the kind invitation. Also, Normal, Il is an incredibly charming town!

On this measure, Chinese institutions have gone from one to seven of the top 10.
The journal @nature.com compiles a list of leading research institutions ranked by counts of "high-quality research outputs." (www.nature.com/nature-index...) Surely not definitive, but the change over the six years from 2018 to 2024 is astonishing. (1/5)
