This position is part of the research project “Back from the Brink: experimental de-extinction in a model-organism to restore lost diversity”, funded under the Villum Experiment Programme. We have a preprint reviewing how genomics has been used to inform evolutionary significant units globally, find inconsistencies, and give recommendations. It’s a method we use for measuring drops in genetic diversity due to inbreeding in wild populations, so very powerful for seeing if a population is perhaps not doing so well. Our paper is trying to enable this handy measurement with ‘cheaper’ data, always a good thing!
