🪶Just a typical spring afternoon at Leasowe Lighthouse on the Wirral Peninsula: sunny weather, singing birds and good company. Male Blackcap, Common Buzzard, Female Northern Wheatear and Male Common Redstart.

My first Wheatear of the year (5 males in all ) the LRP on its second day at Kerrs field and a female Pied Wagtail, white wags aren't my strong point 🤣 so it was nice to see one @AllanConlin found earlier #LeasoweLighthouse

A yomp at first light across the Hoylake desert (east hoyle bank) for a very Rare Black Scoter from America, a first for Wirral found by Sean O'Hara, it showed quite close in but still a fair way out for any decent pics 📸 good to meet @manchesterbirder.bsky.social

🪶An excellent day out with @colscho1.bsky.social around Lancashire and North Cheshire. Most target birds seen in good time, including Bewick's Swan, Great Northern Diver, Marsh Tit and Kumlien's Gull. Dodgy record shots of each obtained. A bit of an eclectic mix!

It took me an hour to catch up with the Kumliens Gull at widnes , a really smart bird but a pain to pick out in the sunlight, and I was getting plenty of questions from the workers 🤣 #UkBirding
