Life has been pretty rough lately and I haven't been on here hardly at all. A quick ty to everyone who was kind enough to like my recent posts, it's always appreciated 💕 Hopefully will be more active soon with some current projects.

Not really, no. The ones I got were in absolutely mint condition & show no signs of breaking down or wear. I also have some spooled silk threads i bought in a lot at an antique store & no issues. Tysm! I was really happy with how this quilt turned out. Omg blue velvets and silks sound amazing!

The price didn't seem exorbitant or tarrif heavy to me. The shipping was reasonable and the tax was like less than $7. I think it will just depend on the location and the shop tbh. I recently bought silk threads from Japan and their taxes/shipping seemed higher than this purchase.

Totally did not endlessly scroll through an Etsy shop from India for 20 solid minutes that had a section just with embroidered fabric. And some of them absolutely did not 'accidentally' land in my cart either.

Had to scrap my stitching plans for my quilt because the top kept looking great but the bottom looked like dog shit. Going minimalistic instead, more homey, simple chic.

Definitely not attending too many parties these days myself, but sometimes you remember things that make for a good memory or story to look back on.

Finished this completely hand sewn reversible lap quilt. These top stitching will be small sunbursts in each corner the squares meet using 100% Japanese silk thread from the 1920s.

I wish! I love thrifting and buying up vintage fabrics and notions as often as possible. These were actually an Etsy find from a shop that had gotten a hold of an unopened crate of threads from an old clothing factory

Got my vintage, still with their original paper tags, 100% silk threads from the 1920s/30s. 🥹✨️🥰 it is going to be an absolute pleasure to sew with these.

A pillow I hand sewed and embroidered about 2 yrs ago. Made with thrifted fringed cotton table napkins and thrifted vintage doilies. My mom claimed it before I even had the chance to post it in my shop lol.

Yes they are! I use quite a bit of recycled or upcycled fabric in my projects. A lot of times they are off cuts from woven yardage.
