Silverstone today. Harsh sunlight and volume of people meant I couldn't be bothered using the "proper" camera so have some iPhone shots instead. Starting off with MX-5s, naturally.

Would you like to see the return of non-championship #F1 races? OK, it’ll never happen, but they were great. For example #OnThisDay in ’54 there were 2 of them, one at Goodwood & another at Pau (pic: lovely promo poster), won respectively by Reg Parnell (Ferrari) & Jean Behra (Gordini).

TEN years ago today my mum adopted me. I was a shaggy, scared, stinky pup hiding in the back of crate at the SPCA. No one wanted me - black dogs/cats are the least adopted. Mum saw something in me that others didn’t.

It’s been love, joy & adventure for both of us!

MX-5s are probably my most-driven car too. Owned three, and on a quick count, driven somewhere between 15-20 more. Plus seven or eight R35 Nissan GT-Rs and probably a similar number of Alpine A110s.

It kills me that so few car makers make sedans nowadays. I don't want a crossover, I don't want an SUV. I want a damn CAR. 😭

A pint-sized Suburban that drives like a pogo stick just isn't a car to me. A comfortable full-sized sedan with all the bells and whistles is what a car should be IMO

Rustival also marked a first for me and Dr Jon: the first time our cars were together at the *same* show!

I couldn't tell you *why* its taken us over 30 years to get to this point, but here we are - so here's Jon's Hillman Super Minx, and my Triumph Mk2 PI-to-EFi

During today’s first race of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers, a serious accident involving seven drivers occurred in the early stages of the race. Despite the immediate arrival of emergency responders, the emergency medical team was unable to save driver Juha Miettinen (BMW 325i, #121).
