I LOVE my dog!
I was outside checking on pup, & enjoying the sun, and I noticed we have more than one patch of the wild crocuses already! As I was checking all the patches of them, pup followed me and GENTLY (SO gentle 🥹) sniffed each patch as I pointed them out!

Was going to have my yearly shower today. Unfortunately, the water still has way too much turbidity to actually get clean (dirt, silt, etc), from the torrential rain we had for a few days. I guess an extra day or two won't be too bad?

Just curious, what do you do if all your (30+ years) of chronic issues are the same as things that can kill you in 12 - 24 hrs?
Like, do I just find out when I am dead? Because, news flash, if I am dead, I won't know! Hehehe

Our dog is CONSTANTLY choking on some food or another 🙄 main reason we switched to can food. He does NOT like to chew anything. (Not because of his teeth, he just .. 🤷)
Thankfully, he also knows water means drink.

Eeeek! I have arachnophobia ... Outside just now, and a VERY big one started to run row me! Instead of my "stomp and squish" I shooed it away with a branch!! Now if my heart can settle, all will be good 👍

Large double tree from our yard going across our bank, and our road. Tractor is where our car was parked! Shed and white car is our immediate neighbour, and she stayed with us a few hours until the winds slowed. She got the worst damage 😞 GIANT pine fell on her trailer

The root of the tree RIGHT by our house. Grateful it didn't slide back into us! From dirt to top of root branch, is almost 7 feet!

This is the pine tree that took out the roof and wall of our neighbour! The little fence area is where she takes her tiny Chihuahua! IF I remember correctly? She had mentioned she had just taken her out an hour before? Or was about to? I can't remember for sure.😱

Now that things are slowly calming down a bit, still SO MANY trees, branches, roots and debris to remove, but the worst is over.
Some trailers were damaged, thankfully park owners insurance will cover it all! Here's some pics many are just our yard (the root one especially)before most clean up!

Hubby called tree guy 5 am, he was here by 7!
LOADS more trees need to be taken down before next winds! Could have been way worse!

Stupid fake spring. After 2 back to back warm and sunny days, I jumped the gun and reset the thermostat to the spring/early summer temps! And the very next day it was cold, drizzling, and miserable. grr
Plus winds so bad last night we had trees up rooted, and 3 trailers damaged

Holy fucking wind storm!!
Took out at LEAST 2 trees in our yard, both hit separate trailers, one beside us, the other across from us!

Wind broke our whirly bird thingy, must have blowing over 50 km or, approx 8 ish miles an hour!!

He let us work for almost 2 hours!

Yes. It DID take waaay too many treats. But not a single growl or even a lip curl!

I don't know if it was my mom's influence (she was an RN), but we ALWAYS used proper terms for his (or anyone's) body parts.
He was more comfortable, as well as very curious in general, and preferred proper explanations, not shortened versions.

Today he let us brush AND trim him, NO MEDS! 😲 SO proud of him. 🥹
Did need a shit ton of treats with the clippers, but he was so good. Got about 90% of the mats from his front elbows & arm pits. We managed almost an HOUR of grooming!
Tomorrow we'll drug him & TRY for the nails?? 🤞🤞 2/2

Our dog HATES grooming, I have the scars to prove it!!
Vet gave us meds to make him dopey, and reduce anxiety. Even then we usually only get about 10 - 20 min. Considering he is a Border Huskey? Yes, he has mats. 😞
We TRY to remember which parts we did before, not easy.

I have depression & SAD, someone my husband knows has a TBI.
She is having a HORRIFIC time right now. She came to us, I stayed with her about 30+ min. Her depression was triggering mine! I HAD to leave.
Was that ok? I feel bad I just couldn't stay. (Bad pain day)

Holy crap! We FINALLY got a decent amount of snow!! I'd guesstimate about 5 inches today? That's more than all the snow from Aug until yesterday.

Pupper LOVES it! Every time the mountains got snow, he would go out hoping we had some. 😞 Poor boy. Now we do! How long? No clue. Hehe

You know. Chronic pain is a real bitch (and definitely depression inducing), but sometimes I think it is the brain fog, and memory issues, that affects me the most mentally. Especially when I can barely follow the goings on of the world.

When the snow first started yesterday, doggo (5 yro Border Huskey) kept going to the hall between bedrooms (we keep our windows open), sniffing and whining. Thought he had to pee ... No! He got VERY excited about the snow! ❤️
