Eine Pelzbiene sitzt auf einer magentafarbenen Blüte. Der Körper der Pelzbiene ist dicht behaart und zeigt helle sowie dunkle Farbtöne. Die Blütenblätter sind kräftig magenta und bilden einen auffälligen Kontrast zum grünlich verschwommenen Hintergrund. Photo taken from a boardwalk trail on South Hills, San Luis Obispo, California. There are a couple of hikers ahead further down the hill, while a hill stretches upwards on the left side of the photo. Straight ahead in the distance is a taller mountain that is dark green/brown at the top with golden fields at its base. It rises up from the city of San Luis Obispo. Due to our dry winter, our fields and hills have already dried and turned a golden color instead of the green they should be right now. The sky is blue with a few thin, puffy clouds.
