Aspilapteryx tringipennella : caterpillar in a spun Ribwort Plantain leaf (Hamiltonhill Claypits) Collected to rear through. A welcome find after missing out on this species last year.

I never thought at the time and i doubt it won't be there now but the leg span front to back was about 80mm.

Started my walk off with this Giant House-spider 'Eratigena' on a brick wall along the F&C Canal, Maryhill.....and it was indeed a giant! One of the biggest ones i've ever seen.

Started my walk off with 2 new for the year #birds
Swallow : 1 around the derelict buildings at the top of Lochburn Rd.
Grasshopper Warbler : 1 reeling from the old golf course (Ruchill)
