Four Sand Martins on sandy cliff outside entrances to nest burrows.
Total of at least 12 White-billed Divers at Portsoy today, including 9 in a single scan off Redhythe Point. Viewing conditions good, but not perfect, so there's sure to be more out there.
Great to see Sand Martins fresh back at the colony.

Hoopoe feeding in paddock at Waggs Plot, Devon
Marsh Harrier over Dorset patch & after seeing the same bird at Chard Res earlier!!
I was fortunate to refind this Hoopoe at Waggs Plot after bumping into the local farmer who found it yesterday! A nice 10km #PWC2026 Tick! The Marsh Harrier was 1st seen at #ChardRes (thx for text Gary Andrews) & later over my Dorset patch! #DevonBirds @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social #Somersetbirding
11 mile #Patchbirding dawn walk around the full circuit today. And it was a great way to start with a singing Nightingale along the River Stour by Singleton Lake. 10 Swallows and 5 singing Whitethroats across the patch too.

The Holy Grail of urban birding in spring, a male Redstart, was on Warneford Meadow, Oxford, today. It has taken eight years, but was worth every moment this morning. It even burst into song on a couple of occasions, just magical!

Little Ringed Plover
A patch tick Lesser Scaup was the highlight of a few hours this morning along with just my 3rd patch Curlew. Also the first few summer migrants with 2 LRP, Sedge Warbler, Willow Warbler, Swallow and House Martin. @patchbirding.bsky.social #patchgold
#Swinemoor was a challenge this morning with the remanence of the high winds, but another FOY with Sedge Warbler back on the patch. Otherwise, same species as yesterday, with a fair few Snipe now dropping in. #patchbirding #eastyorksbirding #PWC2026

Stanford Reservoir - finished on 100 species, 116 pts at end of March #PWC2026. Late run at the end of March with Tawny Owl, Feral Pigeon, Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Sand & House Martin & Swallow. April should see a decent uplift although today was dead. A few of the first quarter highlights here.

Mappleborough Green
Two present the day after the first turned up at Morton Bagot.
An excellent March was concluded with a Wheatear at Mappleborough Green today. The last 10 days have included two patch gold Morton Bagot ticks; Egyptian Geese and Cetti's Warbler (both first for the site) #PWC2026 I heard the Cetti's nine days after ringers caught it.
Loving the stats, Tom! Excellent record keeping.
