Four Sand Martins on sandy cliff outside entrances to nest burrows.
Total of at least 12 White-billed Divers at Portsoy today, including 9 in a single scan off Redhythe Point. Viewing conditions good, but not perfect, so there's sure to be more out there.
Great to see Sand Martins fresh back at the colony.

Male Redstart
Male Redstart just visible in young oak leaves
Male Redstart on the ground of Warneford Meadow
The Holy Grail of urban birding in spring, a male Redstart, was on Warneford Meadow, Oxford, today. It has taken eight years, but was worth every moment this morning. It even burst into song on a couple of occasions, just magical!

Obscured view of a Yellowhammer in a bush
Avoiding the Weald Park crowds today I took a local walk around Crow Green and found a patch tick Yellowhammer.

Excellent find, John!
That is superb, Tyler!
Drake Lesser Scaup
Little Ringed Plover
A patch tick Lesser Scaup was the highlight of a few hours this morning along with just my 3rd patch Curlew. Also the first few summer migrants with 2 LRP, Sedge Warbler, Willow Warbler, Swallow and House Martin. @patchbirding.bsky.social #patchgold
#Swinemoor was a challenge this morning with the remanence of the high winds, but another FOY with Sedge Warbler back on the patch. Otherwise, same species as yesterday, with a fair few Snipe now dropping in. #patchbirding #eastyorksbirding #PWC2026
Two Willow Warblers, 3 Wheatears, and 2 Sand Martins the best at Cadover at dawn. Pintail and Teal in the lower Dartmoor pits, plus the strong cold wind ๐ฅถ, reminded me it's not t-shirt weather yet! #patchbirding #10kmpatch #birding #ukbirding #birds
Not always easy to get a Wheatear on my 3k patch, so pleased to catch up with one early in the year.
A @moocher.bsky.social find earlier today at #LadywalkNR on the shoreline we cleared in Autumn.
Also added LRP for #PWC2026
Stanford Reservoir - finished on 100 species, 116 pts at end of March #PWC2026. Late run at the end of March with Tawny Owl, Feral Pigeon, Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Sand & House Martin & Swallow. April should see a decent uplift although today was dead. A few of the first quarter highlights here.
The end of March is nearly here! So please remember to get your #PWC2026 March scores and highlights in by the evening of 7th April by putting them onto the main scores spreadsheet here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
Best of luck with your April #patchbirding!
Mappleborough Green
Two present the day after the first turned up at Morton Bagot.
An excellent March was concluded with a Wheatear at Mappleborough Green today. The last 10 days have included two patch gold Morton Bagot ticks; Egyptian Geese and Cetti's Warbler (both first for the site) #PWC2026 I heard the Cetti's nine days after ringers caught it.
Loving the stats, Tom! Excellent record keeping.
