Thanks. I use a Google Pixel 9 which I have to admit can be a lump to keep in my pocket. It's got a fantastic camera though, that works almost as well on the move but some things demand a pause and second glance 😁
A standard track Lane 1 is 400m. I read somewhere that it's good etiquette to leave the inner lanes for competition so I run in lane 4. My watch 'Track mode' compensates for it. Jst as well as each lap works out 23m longer! It's why the 400m race has a staggered start.

A catch up #run with one of my bairns while Wilbur dog had a trot along. Fine conversation pace as the wind whipped all ways. Dog violets in bloom and bears in the woods.

A gentle 5k #run with Wilbur dog on a bright spring morning. Hesitant putting any load on my knee. Not confident as it's a bit tender but held up OK. The horses are taking it even easier.

The track has it's own personality. Mine helps me switch off and cruise with an empty head. Shame yours aren't flat as that's one of the big benefits.

Aborted track threshold session with left knee instability and discomfort during 2nd set. Tried another 200m after onset but got worse. Limply 600m walk to loosen it off but still there. See what like tomorrow.

Beautiful morning but a struggle getting Wilbur dog up to speed. The sun's warming him up but the grumpy old sod won't let me take his coat off! New shoes! 4th Novablast 5's in a year; 500 miles each on the last 3.

There's always one not too far away. I like them as a benchmark for flat repeatable comparison on an ideal surface. They also work as an easy way of 'zoning out'. Just a shame if the wind's up a bit as the headlong battle is just around the corner far too often 😅.
