Would recommend a foldable sitting mat - lightweight, help with warmth and provide a bit of padding. Numb bum no guarantee though after 90mins of use! 😂

Great visit to RSPB Adwick Washlands. Highlights - 5 Wheatear, 20+ Yellow Wagtail, my 1st Reed Warbler of the year, LRP, Black-tailed Godwit, Marsh Harrier and this Cattle Egret being chased by an inquisitive cow. Thanks to the Adwick regulars for letting me tag along #yorkshirebirding #ukbirding

Day 1 of a long weekend in Norfolk and Suffolk. Ospreys weren't on the radar but fantastic to find they had recently returned to NWT Ranworth Broad after they successfully fledged 2 chicks last year. A camera has been installed which can be viewed online #norfolkbirding #ukbirding
We've had one in our garden so have set up the hedgehog feeding station (designed to keep out next door's cats!) 😊
Even in summer you need coat, hat and gloves! 😂
No worries - I didn't realise it was you Shane! Maybe we will bump into each other again. Perhaps everyone needs to wear a name badge! 😊
Garganey at Slaynes Lane this morning #nottsbirding #ukbirding
Lifer Alert and only 20 mins from home! Leach's Storm-Petrel at Slaynes Lane this morning. Amazing to watch it in flight (harassed by the Black-headed Gulls) and see the size comparison. Safe travels LSP #nottsbirding #ukbirding
Alternative flapping!
Nice to see the Avocets returning 🙂
Does look a bit ruffled!
Lovely reflection too 🙂
Had to go back for more views of the Waxwings this morning on my way to RSPB Blacktoft Sands. What a lovely bird - just love the quiff! #yorkshirebirding #ukbirding
Pleased you were well enough to see them 😄
It seemed a very polite bow 😊
Sorry - yes to get photos as the sun would be behind them.
The same happened when I went for the Shrike. Two people trying to get too close and forcing the bird further down the hedge - I just walked away
Fantastic - we only heard it last Saturday no views unfortunately 😞
Stopped on the way home to see the Waxwings as the mist had lifted.
Light not great but don't know why people think it's ok to go tramping in a farmer's crop field! #yorkshirebirding #ukbirding
"How do you do - is this seat taken?" Mediterranean Gulls at North Cave Wetlands today @northcavewet.bsky.social #ukbirding #yorkshirebirding
Hope you feel better soon Dawn 🤧. There's lots of berries so hopefully they will stay a while.
A bit atmospheric but Waxwings showing really well at Goole Fields this morning #ukbirding #yorkshirebirding
Then came across this Greater Scaup on Thorne Moors. Also a Red Kite and Marsh Harrier were circling with each other right above #yorkshirebirding #ukbirding
