Phil Campbell, Motörhead guitarist for over three decades, has died at the age of 64 after a long battle with cancer. Campbell joined Motörhead in 1984 and would go on to play on 16 albums with the band, up to their final LP of all-new material, 2015's Bad Magic.

There are many! Let's go with Cars.
Another new (to me) one added to my list.
A Question of Time - Depeche Mode
youtu.be/9pt7EWFF_T8?...
I saw them on the Black Celebration tour. That can't possibly have been 40 years ago... Surely... That would make me old.
+++ On this day, forty years ago!, the 10th of February 1986, Depeche Mode released 'Stripped' as the lead single from their 5th studio album 'Black celebration'. +++

+++ #OTD the 10th of February 1978, Tubeway Army, including a certain Gary Webb (Valerian), released their debut single 'That's Too Bad' via Beggars Banquet +++
Upon its release Gary quit his job, found his iconic stage name, stumbled across a Minimoog & the rest is history

Well, I guess he's always followed his own path, and continues to do so. Maybe we should be thankful that path took him into music and not politics... "This is What You Want" and "Rise" are part of the soundtrack of my student days.
Another one to add to my "need to listen" list.
Transvision Vamp on the Velveteen tour - still one of my standout gig memories!
They're a new one on me. I'll check 'em out.
To be fair, for years our local Hermes/Evri delivery lady was fantastic, we were on first name terms with her! Then a chap took over who was also very good. But he didn't last long and now we seem to have another new person, and service has taken a nose dive. Real shame.
Life has been pretty horrible for a few months, so I haven't had much chance or inclination to get out with my camera. But I have still been listening to music. One of my recent discoveries is warrington-runcorn-cis.bandcamp.com/album/public.... Beautiful, calming, and I love the cover art.
Nice! I can't reciprocate directly as I don't do vinyl, but maybe I'll start posting occasional cover art and links!
I say keep posting. Posts like yours are part of my music discovery algorithm. Fsck Spotify.
Crowds carrying banners and flags walking past Nelson's Column in London.
At the weekend I had the honour of joining some brave and dedicated people on a walk through London. Great day. #PSC #London
Old black and white image of a skyline, with a clock tower, chimneys, rooftops etc.
I've not posted for a while. Real life events ☹️. Anyway, I came across a couple of old films of my Dad's, which I got developed. Unfortunately he doesn't remember where they are of. If anyone recognises this I'd love to know. It might be Cambridgeshire somewhere...
Revisting another old photo, just because I haven't been out to take more lately. This is a helter skelter at Weymouth, looking a little sad but I love the colours.

Short focus red poppy on a background of leaves and flowers.
My entry for this weeks BlueskyArtShow, Vibrant. My first thought was the poppy, for the colour, but then I realised the whole garden is, so took a few more.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. No, wait, it's a Berlin U-Bahn station.

Reposting because I forgot to add hashtags. Also, there are a couple of extra images on my website at rempstone.net/devon-water/
There will be more soon-ish.

Here are the first couple of images from my recent stay in Devon. Most of them will be water-related, and these are no exception. (https://rempstone.net/?p=2380
Black and white image, underneath a road. There are lots of overgrown weeds and rubbish, including an idustrail cable stool apparently being used as a table.
Taken in Berlin, 2024.

My ex had the VHS too. When we divorced I had to get my own copy of the Bluray set. Love it.
