Photo of the described owl art. It looks like muddy scratch marks on a mottled brown cave wall. The head is very round with two upright lines for ears and a line in the center for a beak. Numerous parallel lines suggest plumage on the wings.
The oldest known image of an owl:
More than 30,000 years ago, someone skillfully scratched the figure of a long-eared owl (Asio otus) into the soft outer layer of the walls of Chauvet Cave, France. The owl is looking backward over their wings, head turned 180 degrees

Nah! A lovely addition for your bookshelves from the @derbyshirebirds.bsky.social
And I love the illustration on the front cover!
I’ve already told him to expect your email and he is the best person to advise you what to do as he is the one who handles memberships and any enquiries relating to them
Ok. So. You’ve not emailed the correct person. You’ve emailed the secretary of the society rather than membership (whose email is listed several times on the joining page that I linked in my original post). I also gave you the membership email above (details@lnhs.org.uk).
I’ve been in touch with the membership secretary. He’s not received any emails from you or anyone else regarding a gift membership. Please email him again, thanks
What your message did was accuse us of things that were incorrect. I am trying to work with you but you have continued to be aggressive and I’m not sure why?

This is the first time I have seen this query. Weirdly, it did not show up on my notifications and I do apologise.

The adult female Peregrine is the bird on the left, and the juvenile male on the right. They are on the main roof to the right of the image. The rest of the image is part of the office block roof, and the view of houses etc. beyond.

Sutton Peregrines. 1/2. I wasn't expecting to see the adult female and the juvenile male having a courtship display, as happened this afternoon, but I suppose it's all part of growing up! Both adults continue to accept his presence, at least for now. #londonwildlife #birds

Garden birding. What I presume is the same Blackbird that I saw two days ago spent quite a while in the garden today, often just standing and listening for potential prey. The fallen leaves will likely be helping him in this respect. #londonbirds #birds
A cheeky lunchtime visit today and spotted one of the males.
He was sat above a group of very vocal teal on the River Lea.
