For #StressAwarenessMonth, we’re focusing on how small actions help us #BeTheChange 💙
Our teams shared how they manage their own stress and support colleagues, showing that positive change starts with everyday habits and how we show up for each other.
Do you have any other tips to share?

If your mind feels busy today, try and factor in one small thing that will help your mind feel clearer.
Whether it’s a short pause, a walk outside or even taking your time whilst making a cup of tea, each small thing can make a big difference💚

How to set goals that last - A kinder approach to January
Set fewer goals - Choose 1-3 priorities, more focus means more chance they will stick Direction, not perfection - Goals don't need to be fully defined. It's ok to start with 'more of' or 'less of'
Break into smaller steps - Ask yourself 'what's the smallest action I can do this month?' Start slower - Avoid the urge to do everything in January. Pace yourself for the year, not the month
Celebrate progress - Notice progress, not just achievements. Consistency is a win. Rest is part of the plan - Sustainable goals include pauses. You don't need to earn rest to deserve it.
January often comes with unspoken pressure to start new routines, new goals, new expectations... all overnight 📝
While goal‑setting can be motivating, trying to do too much too quickly can leave us feeling overwhelmed.
👇 Here are our top tips for slower, kinder start to your year.
From switching to eco-friendly products & carbon-neutral suppliers to launching our Green Champions initiative, we’re proud to be on the journey toward #InvestorsintheEnvironment (iiE) accreditation.

1) Identify your stressors Work out what factors are bringing you the most stress right now. Is anything in your control that you can do to manage these stressors better?
2) Structure your day Keeping to a routine can be very beneficial if you're coping with stress. Get up and go to bed at the same time and try to get out and do your usual activities
3) Create time for yourself This can be the first thing we forget when things get busy. Factoring in just 30 minutes of mindful activity every day can significantly improve how we cope with stress.
4) Learn to take control If you're worrying about a problem, ignoring it will only make it worse. Using problem-solving techniques and creating an action plan can help you feel back in control again.
Between social demands and financial pressures, Christmas can often feel stressful. If left to build up, this can impact sleep, mood, and physical health.
To help you manage stress and prioritise your wellbeing, we’ve shared practical strategies to guide you through the festive season🎄
#Wellbeing
As the festive season approaches, our Open Minds (CAMHS) team is sponsoring a tree at the annual #Christmas Tree Festival at Halifax Minster🎄

Complete a free wordle online. Activate a sense with a scented hand cream or lip balm.
A desk tidy can give a sense of control and a calmer space. Stretch at my desk with my arms overhead and take a slow forward fold.
Step outside, a breath of fresh air can help to reinvigorate. Practice mindfulness, think about a list the sounds and scents around me.
Practicing box breathing at my desk helps me to calm and focus. I find it grounding to look out of the nearest window and take a slow deep breath.
