Just dropped through my Dorset letterbox this morning. Great work by all involved, plenty of art to add to the excellent photos. If the web has drawn you away from County bird reports & bird clubs, have a rethink. They are an essential part of our birding communities culture 🙏

Huge thanks to the Scillonia Seabird Group for the quick reply of a ringed European Shag that was sadly found dead at Poole Quay on Tuesday. '3PN' was ringed as a nestling on the Isles of Scilly on June 30th 2025, then seen in Brixham, Devon on 21st Oct 2025.

Yellow-browed Bunting trapped, ringed and released at the Swannery. It's flown to the hedge which runs alongside the Swannery grounds and the bird may be viewable from the permissive path heading west from Grove Lane.

LESSER KESTREL on #StKilda! Retrospectively identified from Will Miles' excellent images on 16th Sept. We'd recorded a Kestrel from 12th, possibly the same bird, but sadly not relocated today.
