Over the last few years our librarian has been slowly improving her conservation skills in paper repair and #bookbinding - so we can now do repairs like this resewing and spine repair on a catalogue book in-house!

The club owns a couple of booklets describing Burfords panoramas of the Alps. These also include sketches of how the panoramas looked with a key to places of interest. They offered a glimpse of travel for a few shillings .

The Panorama in Leicester square was built to display huge (20 - 30 feet) panoramas of exotic locations (and sometimes just london) for viewing by the public. These were huge immersive paintings designed to give the feeling of being in the space -
