Its wild how different of personalities snakes can have, although thats very much based on species. My ball python, I love her, but she is a pet rock. The rhino rat snakes however are always on the go, and are genuinely interested in everything around them

Was out on lovely walk today. I get really awful seasonal depression in winter so im trying to enjoy the sun as much as I can now that it's finally out. I brought binoculars out with me and watched the sea birds for a while

Not a new illustration but I'm still really happy with it. It's an owl moth. I really want to draw more moths in general, especially some of the weirder ones.

Oh chilean flames are beautiful! I think if I was to get any, I'd love a brazilian black, they just look like a labrador in a tarantula form. Or maybe a pumpkin patch dwarf. They're just so pretty

A macro photo of an orange brown robber fly from the front. The Robber fly has long orange brown legs covered in sharp black spines (which aid it in holding prey) It's wide flat head has two large. metallic green large oval eyes on each side. Its thorax has two black stripes on either side of the middle, and two black spots on either side.

Ive seen that about scorpions too and its silly, because my scorpion would go TO TOWN on the water dish like all the time. It was my favourite thing, it was so cute

My illustration of a pickle slug, Pseudaneitea papillata. It's another one of the drawings where I'm so happy with the shading and shadows but I really struggle to replicate again.

I love them! Makes me think it'd be a fun photography project to do a series of closeups of nature. Maybe bark, moss, stone, sand, clouds, silhouettes of trees

A little while ago a friend gifted me some bees she found and I've put them into little displays. I need to look up the species and put little labels on them but I think they're really cute
