1 up, 1 down... The rare 13th aumbry at St Matthew's, Langford is somewhat reminiscent of a row of narrow, neat terraced houses.

I hope it wasn't 'catch your own'!
The glass at St John the Baptist, Cold Overton is nothing to write home about however the tracery is lovely, so graceful.

No, we'd be reporting you to the police for crimes against food!
The 14thC St Christopher at St Andrew's, Stoke Dry is a tall and graceful figure, seemingly holding Christ in a fold of his cloak which is a lovely detail.
The rest of his clothes are rather unusual, he appears to be wearing an apron and the hat is certainly individual.

Cathy's here, no boot scraper is safe!
Such a cheeky little face peering out over a window at Ampney St Mary.

Victorian tiles at St Peter's, Lowick for #TilesOnTuesday
The dark green background set the varied designs off perfectly.
Can we not just pop into the pub instead..?
I'd love to see an image of it pre restoration.
I haven't got many of Great Tew strangely. Most are awful because of that dreadful rainstorm that suddenly engulfed us, the church was too dark.
A 13thC harrowing of hell from the passion cycle at St Michael's, Great Tew.
Christ holds his hand out to a small gaggle of kneeling figures in the gaping mouth of Hell and is taking the hand of one, possibly Adam whilst the others hold their arms out desperate to be saved.
I noticed, it seems to becoming more of a regular occurrence sadly.
I've reported it but it doesn't seem to make them act any quicker.
Yes! That's just what it reminds me of
I quite like that!, the birds in the window splays either side are rather lovely too
Salisburys no1 scotch egg tester in action!
A late 14thC weighing of the souls at St Mary's, Purton.
The graceful S shaped curve of St Michael and the folds of the draperies are really rather lovely.

A grinning skeleton greeting the new week with a cheery smile at St Mary's, Fotheringhay for #MementoMoriMonday
They do look good, I'm very glad I bought them for you πβΊοΈ
A winged Bishop/Abbot on the capital of the 12thC chancel arch column at St Andrew's, Stoke Dry.
His little feet are just the best thing!

Get in touch with the church, they're very amenable to opening up for people and it's a stunning window.
It's a pity that the rather fine 13thC door at St John the Baptist, Cold Overton has been whitewashed as it rather blurs the detail but it certainly lightens the porch up!

The Norman tympanum at St Michael and All Angels, Hallaton is now situated in the porch rather than above the door.
Showing St Michael and the dragon it is as Pevsner suggests 'vigorous and dramatic'
In fact St Michael looks more like he's dragon surfing!

I have a funny feeling the postman in Salisbury is going to be very busy over the next few days!
A frowning skull on the monument to Lady Mary Mordaunt d1705 at St Peter's, Lowick.
Doubtless annoyed at the very poor way the monument was cut to possibly move it at some point in its history.

A comfortable perch, some tasty seeds to peck at... what more could a boy need?
Griffins, wolves, heffalumps and tiny lions!
James Fountayne Montagu has got a veritable menagerie at St John the Baptist, Cold Overton.
This may well be one of the items he donated to the church to celebrate his return from WW1 and recovery from illness.

They're seriously odd looking!
The chap second from the left is giving real Planet of the Apes vibes.
A tumbler or acrobat (and no he's not flashing or having a.... despite what you might think and yes I know it's really not helped by the flaw in the wood between his legs) assisted by a couple of hounds?
14thC misericord at St Mary's, Fairford.
