Found this etymology of #Aas in the π«π· civil parish of #Saubrigues (40). The hamlet stands on a hill (aas or Γ₯s, in π³π΄/πΈπͺ/π©π° ) around 35 meters above the nearby moor.
No basque, neither proto-bs or proto-bananas. This is pure scandinavian.
