Four photos showing the Lake Placid Toboggan Chute. It is a wooden tower up a long set of stairs with an ice track where you ride a toboggan down the ice track out onto Mirror Lake, which is the lake in the middle of the town of Lake Placid. Mirror Lake is complete frozen, and covered in snow. Snow was cleared to make a landing path for the toboggans at the bottom of the chute. One photo shows a group of people coming down the track on a toboggan. Two photos show the tower with its nostalgiac sign for the chute, and one photo shows a toboggan sliding across the ice as it exits the chute. The sky is blue and the surrounding mountains are covered in snow
The Lake Placid Toboggan Chute on Mirror Lake on Sunday. What a glorious day! It looked so fun, but also a little scary. We had our dog with us, so we could not try it. Maybe next time. #winterwonderland #adirondacks #lakeplacid #photography #eastcoastkin #tobogganchute #mirrorlake #ADK #ADKlife
