Mini project #2 from the AQS new member box. Both were sponsored by accuquilt and Northcott. I love Northcott fabric! Using the precut pieces does save time. Now I need to decide what to do with this cool orphan block.

Blue, green, and grey striped mug rug monogrammed with name and year completed. Kit was a gift from AQS in their Life Member Welcome Box.
AQS included two patterns with fabric in my welcome package, a QAYG mug rug and a star block. They both feature sponsors Northcott & Accuquilt.
Today I did the mug rug just for fun. I thought it could serve as a nice, and useful, reminder of when I joined

Best thing so far at the #aqs #quiltshow every bird on this quilt was fussy cut so there was a dot where the eye would be. So cute and clever! #quiltsky

AQS (American Quilt Society) has censored 2 beautiful quilts from traveling show. Apparently Floridians cannot deal with the color red. #AQS #censorship
