Literally, I got a pump hooked up to me dosing me with 5-FU (FU, too, buddy). Into Friday, then one more day next week; five more days during week five. A dose of mitomycin before they hooked up the pump

Then my trip was delayed. Then his #asscancer came back. But we kept planning. When the trip finally occurred I flew into Montreal on Sunday evening. I rented a car and drove to Vermont, and met GuardDuck and his wife in the hospice center he was at. 4/x

Some background: GuardDuck beat his #asscancer once and had a bonus round of a couple of years of extra life, and he took advantage of it. Visiting friends, doing things he feared he wouldn’t get to do. The man lived as once should having faced death and won.

But then it came back. 2/x

The ironic thing is, any one of us could become disabled tomorrow. Is he planning never to be elderly??
