#Abberton #EWT walking back to centre, saw a flock of small birds, mostly blue tits and long-tailed tits, then I saw the goldcrests just feeding all around me, magical. Wouldn't say they came close but this photo was taken with my phone! #essexBirding

Snuck down to Abberton Reservoir earlier today to see the cracking female RED-FOOTED FALCON. Not always close but a delight to see! #essexbirding #RareBirdsUK #birds #abberton

Friday at #abberton at least 24 yellow wagtails at #billettsfarm also ticked the lone whooper at #layerbretoncauseway

On this day 25 years ago: Not a rarity, though I did go back for seconds on the @LandguardObs Bonelli’s later in the day. One of my favourite birds, Sabine’s Gull at #Abberton Reservoir. Also 2 Bewick’s Swans and a Black-necked Grebe there.
