Wine Time
“I heard all that,” says BillyBarr, “he’s going through puberty darling. I know you’re saying all the right things, but I’m not sure he’s hearing them.”
“So, what can we do differently? What can we do better?”
“I’m not sure! At this stage I was told to take responsibility, set my own targets, plan, do and review. Evaluate my own conduct, at school, and in leisure pursuits, I should tell him that a boy becomes a man when he begins teaching his parents more than they teach him.”
“That’s a modern aphorism,” says TrishaBarr, “I’ve heard it before, but it has no historical basis, we don’t want to give him ideas above his station. He already thinks he knows more that we do."
