I know this isn’t helpful now, but export isn’t necessary unless you’re also processing files too.

1) quit #ApplePhotos
2) find and open the Photo Library file in finder (right click -> “show package contents”)
3) Move images to your desired destination.

So, in order to add images I have in my #ApplePhotos library to a shared album, #Apple decided it should first download them on the device, create a scaled down version, which is then uploaded to the new album.
This, for one, I find absolutely frustrating.

Wouldn’t it be great for it to understand that a photo from a contact that was taken prior to their birthday, may not actually be them?

I have 3 (very lookalike) kids and Apple Photos consistently mismatch them on baby photos.
