Snowy Site #13 Stop - There's snow on the ground; but, that just made it more of an adventure! We recently trekked our way around Wildwood Park to visit Site #13 which will be the home of our 2026 Art in the Wild Installation! Earlier this month, we were informed our proposal for this year's theme of 'Balance' was accepted and soon we'll need to get to work creating our installation! The kick-off meeting occurs this Saturday and then work will begin! There is just a little over three weeks of work-time from the meeting to when the installation must be completed; so, please put in a good word with the weather for us! The snow won't be our friend to bring our vision to life; but, it will probably melt soon enough and then we can get going!!

Yesterday we were so happy to be able to don our walking shoes and join with our two and four-legged friends from Progress Fitness for a walk! We explored 'Pathways' the 2025 Art in the Wild Exhibition at Wildwood Park!!! It was fun to share some artwork as well as insider info with the group! If you missed this one [weather cooperating we'll be doing it again on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 1:45 PM. We'll all be meeting up at the Olewine Nature Center located at 100 Wildwood Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Please share the word and invite a friend, two or four-legged [dogs are welcome], along for the walk! Thanks to everyone who did a much better job capturing our walk yesterday than we managed to do! A huge shoutout to all those who have reached out to share their photos and posts; we LOVE all the love and support you've sent our way already!!! If you're interested in taking the trek, don't want to go on your own, and can't make one of these dates; there will be more in the future! We have had several posts and shared a lot of information about our artwork at Wildwood Park; but, one thing we didn't share is that we received first place from the Guest Evaluator Shawn Williams! Last Friday evening we attended the Artist's Reception where this announcement was made and on Sunday a first place ribbon was delivered to our site. We're so honored and happy to receive this recognition!! Two other pieces of information yet to be shared are the answer to our most asked question on Sunday... "How long / How many hours did it take to complete this?" We spent some time crunching the numbers earlier this week and total working time was about 21.5 hours. The other is we've completed the entire time lapse recording sequence from blank site to completed art installation in about 5 minutes with is available to be viewed at: https://youtu.be/iFP-lhQ2iVY Artist's Statement / Backstory: Each year I revisit the goals, mission, values, vision, and other documents to ensure they align with what's been accomplished and where the business will be going. In early 2025 I wrote the goal: "WIN AN AWARD!" [in all caps just like you see it here]. I knew writing the goal would be a lot easier than completing it; but, here we are! I was absolutely shocked when the slideshow concluded with the slide you're seeing as today's image! You're still able to see our creation and the other eighteen installations through the end of September and vote for your favorite through mid-September!
